Kiril Bozhkilov

Kiril Bozhkilov (born 1949 in Sandanski) works in the field of satirical drawing, caricature and naive painting. His colorful works exude joy that makes the day seem more cheerful. The artist regularly participates in national and international exhibitions and plein airs dedicated to caricature and painting. His works are in the collection of the largest House of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo and in a number of private galleries in Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, England, France, Germany, the USA, Korea. His colorful works adorn the Embassies of Denmark, Sweden and Norway in Bulgaria, the National Palace of Culture, the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The artist regularly participates in the exhibition-competition “Umuri Shimbun” – Tokyo, as well as in plein airs. He has had a number of solo exhibitions in Bulgaria – in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Blagoevgrad and one in Poland. Winner of a number of awards: 1986, Pernik, Second Prize for Caricature; 2000, Sofia, First Prize for Painting and Satire; 2001, Istanbul, Turkey, First Prize; 2003, Strumica, Macedonia.
