The Bulgarian artist Vassilen Vasevski , who emigrated to the USA at the end of the 90s, will face the Ukrainian artist of Bessarabian origin Alexander Telalim – he settled down in Bulgaria around the same time. In the space of Noe Art Gallery, the two artists will arrange the faces of their life – these of Vassilen enigmatically imprinted with the density of oils on canvas, and those of Alexander – whirled on paper by the magic of water colours. For the last 10 years, being far away from their birth places, both artists have talked and thought in languages different from their mother tongues, which however has made them develop into a direction more and more towards themselves. The result has been amazing – the oil paintings by Vassilen, who has been living and working in the restless urban environment of the Chicago megapolis, have gained an aerial immateriality; and the watercolours by Alexander, who has chosen the much quieter city of Sofia for his artistic pier, have grown extremely dynamic and charged with sparkling energy. The two artists will meet under the motto “Faces Untranslatable” – their exhibition will be a challenge for people who are thirsting for new perceptions, and as well for those whose senses are in crave for harmony and exquisiteness.
